Curtains & Voiles

The beauty of having bespoke curtains and voiles is that you can choose from various headings to suit the look you want to achieve.

You can have them as wide or as long as you want, with or without trim. We recommend that all made to measure curtains should be fully lined to enhance the drape and protect the fabric. You may also wish to have your curtains interlined - this is a fleecy fabric that goes between the fabric and lining. It acts as insulation and gives a beautiful, luxurious padded look to your curtains.

Here are some of the different heading types we offer:

Pencil Pleat - This heading is the standard for curtains and valances and can be used on tracks and poles. It is gathered up on a 3 inch deep tape and has multiple hook positions.

Pinch Pleat - With either a double or triple handmade pleat, this type of heading gives a more luxurious finish and the fabric folds stay in position.

Wave - This is a very contemporary heading where the top of the curtain is unpleated but waves in and out.

Eyelet - This handmade heading gives a more contemporary look to your curtains and can only be used on poles. The top of the curtain is stiffened so the heading stays upright. Eyelets are available in a variety of finishes and colours.

Cartridge Pleat - This is a handmade heading, similar to goblet but takes up less space and has less fullness.

Goblet - This is a handmade luxurious finish with the same hanging effect as pinch pleat but takes up more space on the pole or track. Ideal for dress curtains.

Slot Top - Slotted top headings look great on voiles as it creates a ruched effect on a pole or net rod.

Puff Ball - This is a "puffed up" frill above pencil pleat heading tape.

We can do as much or as little as you require so you can put up your poles and hang your own curtains if you wish but we do offer a full fit and hang service if required. We will always come out to measure before making up to ensure we have the correct measurements.
